Locke Equipment is supplying boiler assembly work for a new Merchant Power Plant in Missouri. The electrical power plant is planned for competition in the economic supply of Electrical Power in the Midwest markets.
As utilities are planning for deregulation Locke is assisting a large EPC contractor by supplying field erection crews for the assembly of two boilers behind Frame 7 FA combustion Turbines. The project is fueled with clean Natural Gas and equipped with a Selective Catalytic Reactor to minimize emissions.
The lift of 400,000 lbs. was required for a heat transfer module at the right.
The project required a crew of approximately 100 union craft personnel, supervisors and support personnel. Boilermakers from Local 83 provided the majority of the skilled craft personnel.
